Our Story
How it all began
Born Like Others was founded with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the same chance in life, regardless of the circumstances they were born into. In Uganda, thousands of children are orphaned each year due to disease, poverty and conflict.
Our home provides these children with more than just shelter — we give them a family, an education, healthcare, and the love and support they need to grow into confident, capable young people.
What started as a small initiative to help a handful of children has grown into a loving home that continues to transform lives every day. With the support of sponsors and donors from around the world, we are building a brighter future — one child at a time.
